I’ve spent over 38 years living and breathing the salon-spa world — behind the chair as a stylist and color specialist, then as a salon/spa owner, and eventually as a business coach and consultant. Along the way I learned what truly makes a salon or spa work — from hands-on service to smart management and real financial know-how. Seeing first-hand how much potential is out there inspired me to help others build a business they love, not just a job.

Why I Empowers Salon & Spa Owners

If you started your salon or spa for the love of beauty, creativity, and caring for people — you probably didn’t imagine juggling bookkeeping, payroll, pricing, marketing, and all the business stuff too. I’ve helped many owners who felt overwhelmed, under-paid, or simply stuck working long hours with little profit or time for life outside the salon.

When I founded IEmpower Consulting (also known as Salon Spa Business Solutions) in 2011, I made it my mission to bridge that gap. My goal is to give you the tools, clarity, and confidence to run a salon/spa that not only survives — but thrives.

My Story — From Behind the Chair to Coaching

I remember trading color consultations and blow-outs for spreadsheets, staff issues, and overhead worries. It felt like the joy of doing what I loved was slowly fading — but I believed the business side didn’t have to kill the passion. So I sold my salon, moved to San Diego, and spent 12 years training and coaching professionals with Salon Training International.

With every salon I helped, I saw what was possible: talented stylists becoming confident owners, chaotic spas transforming into smooth-running businesses, and overwhelmed owners finally getting their lives back. That inspired me to launch IEmpower Consulting — to help more salon and spa owners build a business that supports the life they want.
